  • Get regular, moderate physical activity
  • Maintain a healthy weight gain
  • Keep daily records of your diet, physical activity, and glucose level
  • Take insulin and/or other medications as prescribed
  • See you helath care provider regularly
  • Your health care provider might also tell you to:
    • Test your urine for ketones if needed
    • Have your blood pressure checked as indicate
